First things first with inter Milan now in the final of the Champions League our 11/1 tip has really paid off. The price is now 4/7 which should be layed as to lock in some profits.

Today is a big day. The markets are still making the Conservatives favourites but have not factored in the ad hoc alliance between Lib Dems and Labour in a anti-tory alliance, so the TV debates tonight (Thursday 29th April) will be extra important.

Now the concensus of opinion is that the Gordon Brown gaffe is irrepairable but this does not factor in that Labour support is already at core level so the price of 5/1+ for Labour to get the most seats and 8/13 hung parliament do seem generous.

Therefore advice is stick and dont lay off, in fact, maybe buy some more at the price.

The stand out bet from the draw is to lay England at 6/1 because England will create a little drama in the competition. The hope is to back them at bigger odds later on therefore locking in profits. if they do not make the usual slip up then you are looking at a 16% payoff on a team that will have to progress the Brazil, Germany or Spain in the future – a viable proposition.

Other bets to consider:

Wayne Rooney (14/1), Samuel Eto (40/1), Nicolas Anelka (40/1), look value bets for highest goal scorer.

Must lay Russia to host 2018 World Cup.

If you are a Birmingham City supporter it is very hard to feel positive. Your team has played rubbish all season, yet your team is in second place with just a win a away from automatic promotion. There is the consolation of the play offs, but, previous experience does not give you much encouragement. So your team needs automatic promotion or its squeaky bottom time.

However if you are a trader it has great opportunities to make some easy money and still support your team.

Back Sheffield United at 11/8 for £485.70 and Reading at 9/2 for £210.20 to gain automatic promotion and Birmingham City to beat Reading at 15/8 for £304.20.

Your total outlay will be £1000.10, however you will win £155.90 as long as Birmingham City v Reading does not end in a draw and Sheffield fail to win at Crystal Palace.

The reason Sheffield United will win at Crystal Palace (and they are odds on at 8/13) is that Crystal Palace manager is Neil Warnock an avowed Sheffield United supporter and Crystal Palace Chairman hates the board at Birmingham City, and has had numerous spats with them. So they will not go out of their way to play in a game which will not benefit Crystal Palace in anyway.

If Reading beat Birmingham City they have a chance of promotion and if Birmingham City win they will gain automatic promotion even if Sheffield United get their gift win from Crystal Palace. So the only way you will lose is if Birmingham draw with Reading and Sheffield United dont win at Crystal Palace – both scenarios are possible but improbable.

Therefore you will get 15.5% interest for 90 minutes. If the nightmare scenario happens then as a Birmingham City supporter, you’ve lost £1000 but your team has got automatic promotion anyway…happy days! :)

PILGRIM DANCER in the 15:50 Naas is strongly fancied by some of ‘Donegal Lads’.

Sentry Duty 14:50 Ayr, West End Rocker 15:25 Ayr

Dont know much about this one but Square Eddie is the big tip for the COOLMORE LEXINGTON STAKES

On the football front go for the draw in these matches

Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth, Stoke, Sunderland, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea for 28 x £2 double, total £56. I expect at least 4 games will end in a draw, so this should make a minimum return of £130. Anything results above that will be a bonus.
